About Bear Creek Academy

Vision Statement: The vision of Bear Creek Academy is to provide a unique school experience that incorporates a nurturing family atmosphere where students can grow in their faith, enlighten their minds, and begin their journey to find their purpose in life.

Purpose:The purpose of Bear Creek Academy is to offer a unique educational student-centered environment where students can be themselves and excel academically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Bear Creek Academy values the life and and teachings of Jesus Christ. Just as Christ was on earth, the school is committed to an inclusive spirit, respects diversity, and recognizes the dignity and worth of all human beings.

The school recognizes that we come from diverse backgrounds, but we can find unity in the love of Jesus Christ and in the love of all God's children. BCA welcomes families regardless of race, religion, creed, or gender. Bear Creek Academy is welcoming, non-judgmental, and friendly.

Bear Creek affirms the importance of Christian principles such as truth, virtue, justice, and love. The school consistently provides opportunities for spiritual, academic, and social growth, so that students may acquire enlightened minds and a thirst for knowledge.

You will not see straight rows of desks or students with their heads in textbooks at BCA. Instead, you will see collaborative and interactive areas and work spaces throughout the school. Our students learn to work together despite their differences. They learn not only to develop, use, and offer their strengths in service to others, but to also recognize, acknowledge, and use the strengths of their classmates. Students are encouraged to be themselves, and their God given talents, individuality and creativity are celebrated.

Students learn at different speeds and at different levels in all areas of learning. To achieve real learning, every student must begin where they are academically and move forward. We don't hold up students who need to move on to the next objective, but we also do not push students too fast who need extra time to master an objective.

We want to give our families and students not only the education they need, but also the education they want. We work with families and students to discover their academic, emotional, and spiritual goals and advise them accordingly. It is important that as students advance through our program, they begin to take ownership of their learning, their emotions, and their faith.
